Vaccination Coverage Among Kindergartners in the U.S. Decreased for All Vaccines
Parents in the United States are increasingly hesitant to administer questionable substances to their children. According to the CDC, during the 2023-2024 school year, vaccination coverage among kindergarteners decreased for all reported vaccines compared to the previous year. Coverage for the measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine (MMR) fell to 92.7%, while diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis vaccine (DTaP) coverage dropped to 92.3%. MMR, DTaP, poliovirus vaccine, and varicella vaccine coverage decreased in more than 30 states compared to the previous year.
Medical news site Medscape reports that doctors are growing anxious, claiming this trend could lead to an increase in diseases. However, the same source mentions that the recent measles outbreak is slowing down. It's evident that doctors are aware there is no immediate health concern, but low vaccination rates mean less income for them. I would like to remind you that doctors receive additional compensation for prescribing medications, including vaccines.

Moreover, former pharmaceutical employees often work in government institutions, a phenomenon known as the revolving door. This situation together with lobbying leads to many policies being favorable to corporations. I have discussed it before and consider the root of current issues.
