Pine needles: The Little-Known Panacea For Good Health
Pine needles are a gift from nature that can help us stay in shape even during turbulent times.
It's the end of a long winter in the Western Hemisphere, and we're all tired of the world's bullshit. What could be the remedy to help us regain our vitality?
Think about which of nature's life forms does not mind the cold and remains green and delightful throughout the winter.
The pines, indeed.
Naturally, they can help us as well. Pine needles and the tiny pine buds that have not yet burst are a gift from nature that can help us stay in shape even during the most turbulent times.
Not all pine species are beneficial and safe. Scots pine, Scotch pine, Baltic pine (Pinus sylvestris), Eastern white pine (Pinus strobus), and Japanese red pine (Pinus densiflora) are the types that can be used . If you choose to harvest the needles on your own, be sure to choose the right pine. If unsure, consult a botanist or buy some.
What exactly can pine needles do for us? Well, a lot of things.
The very best cold remedy is pine needles. Take some tea or honey (recipe at the end) if you feel like you're getting cold, and you might even be able to avoid it. If it is already running, it will stop quite fast.
Pine needles prevent the development of the sudden, “ modern ” blood clots.
The green miracles provide the vigor and vitality that everyone needs right now by reducing physical and mental fatigue and enhancing memory, focus, and mood.
Pine needles have antimutagenic and anticancer properties. Since mRNA might be transcribed in DNA (mutate it), it could be useful for those who received so called COVID-19 vaccines.
Despite the fact that pine needles can slow aging, I don't see that as a benefit if the world continues to be such a hell.
Pine needles have a detoxifying effect if taken as tea. Walking through pine parks or forests can act as a sort of detox because you'll be breathing in the pines' healthy aromatic compounds. Moving and escaping the busy human world has additional advantages.
If you need aid with digestion, look no further.
Pain from too much exercise or just revmatism? Just get a pine needle instead of reaching for a painkiller.
Why do pine needles have so many benefits?
The reason for this is that they contain beneficial terpenoids, amino acids, aromatic compounds, vitamin A, vitamin C, and many other substances. I wish the abilities were better studied, but what I've written here is well known by natural medicine practitioners in Bulgaria, Japan, China, Korea, and Russia.
Pine needles can be consumed as a tea extract or as pine needle "honey." Both have a pleasant, woody kind of flavor.
Making tea extract is similar to making any other type of tea. Try a teaspoon of pine needles in a cup of boiling water. Allow several minutes for infusion. Remove the needles and check that it isn't too hot before drinking. It's also pleasing as a cold drink. Make it stronger if you want. The softened tea needles from the tea can be used as a natural facial and body scrub or soil fertilizer. Tea rinse also promotes faster hair growth.
Pine needle "honey" recipe: Combine 50 g of fresh or dried pine needles or pine bulbs in 500 ml of cold water. Boil for 5 minutes, then add 500 g sugar (or less if you want) and continue to cook for another 5 minutes. Let it cool off. Remove the pine needles and pour the jelly into the jars. Keep the refrigerator. You can also buy pine needle "honey" online. I've never seen it in a store, but it might be available in some natural or organic stores.
I'm not done with the benefits yet.
Pine needle oil is beneficial for people with dry skin and eczema. Combine a few drops with your moisturizer and you'll see results quickly. A few drops of pine needle oil in the humidifier can help with colds and improve mood. For healthy hair, add a few drops into your shampoo.
I've never heard of anyone being allergic to pine needles, but you never know. I am allergic to many things, so I try new drinks and foods during the day and when I am not alone. Why? Because if I have an allergic reaction, I will notice it immediately, it is easier to get to the hospital during the day (I hope they can still help with allergies), and having someone else at home can help in such a situation.
When shopping online, make sure the seller is legitimate.
