“War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.”
~ George Orwell,1984
In a twisted world where human lives mean nothing ignorance is a strength. People belong to the community following the same rules that hope will keep them safe.
Ignorance is a lack of knowledge, understanding, or education.
Not knowing means people don’t need to be bothered by anything. Someone else decides for them. In this world rules don’t need to be based on evidence. These rules are just to follow, not to question. This is the world of the novel “1984”by George Orwell. Read it here if you haven’t yet.

In a world like ours, where information is widely available ignorance should be at the lowest level, but in reality that is not the case. Some people naturally look for extra information, while way too many just follow the state sources and when accidently bumped by different information they just ignore it. Ignorance isn’t only not being informed but not wanting to be informed then. Ignorant people if a majority can easily turn into a herd.
Herd or mob mentality is dangerous and nowadays we can see it towards people who question government polices regarding COVID-19, gender, and climate change. Anyone who shows evidence which contradicts with the herd is marginalized.
While not clear if the majority had this mentality people who understand it need to find a way to stop it. I wrote many times in my blog about possible ways. It really depends on the resistance leaders who should focus on what’s most important, exchange ideas and work on it day and night. My expertise is in biomedical sciences. I do what I can in that area. Rest should help with the way of even compromised law could help, PR, fundraising to promote our point of view.
